One of the famous monk in Thailand Temple was Luang Por Kasem Kemagoh that passed away in BE2538 when he was 83 years old. Thai monk, Luang Por Kasem came to this world on 28th November BE2455 Wednesday in the province Jangwat Lampang and was one of the descendants of Lampang's King during Lanna Period.
After his uncle, the abbot of Wat Bunyeun passed away in BE2468, he became a novice monk. He studied Pali language in Bangkok, Wat Setuwan and back to Lampang to further his study of Pali in Wat Seelom and Wat Bunyawaht.
His result was extreme well that he was first in class for his Pali examination at Wat Setuwan in BE2475. When he was 21 years old, he was ordained as a monk at Wat Bunyeun in BE2476. At that time, Tahn Jow Koon Tammajindah was his preceptor. During that period, his ordained name was Kemagoh Pikkhu.
During his time of monkhood, he practised dhamma and sammadhdti. He went further to perfect his practise to the highest sammahdti at the cementry where he sat in a burial ground watching dead corpse burning into ashes regardless of hot sun or raining.
